Thank you …
It´s not hard to take photo like this. I am not photographer but my friend is and he gave me a lot of advices.
Sky is so clear … luck … and of course good timming and place …
Great time (great sky) is a half hour after sunset. It is called magical hour
“Pretty sky,” I said.
“It is a perfect sky?”
“Well, it’s always a perfect sky, Don.”
And of course reflex camera with stativ and of course a lot of will …. because it was -20°C

Whaaaaah….beautiful… …thank you….the cold has been producing such breath taking scenes. The other day it was -15°C here in the morning with the full moon low in the sky at sunrise..it was awesome wanted so much to capture it for someone else to see. So I took my chinky Nokia phone and tred to get a picture…ha….hands freezing ??couldn’t capture nearly anybit of the beauty, I tried two or three times and then scraped it..to offer compensation to my bruised ego I told myself that pictures don’t capture the moment anyway…BUT….here one is…again thanks….

Simon, I love that you climb the cold and windswept hilltops with your tripod and gear and observe the melting of day into darkness before climbing down. In so doing, you make more than beautiful pictures. Thank you for sharing.

Simon…what is your special connection with the photo?
For me I was reminded of (the shadow figure) is how I must seem to the kids when I am overpowering…this big shadow of a person…. umpteen meters high dictating the rules or whatever to them….hmnn…….need to adjust that.

Simon, the way you stood so motionless for the long exposure shadow picture, well done! I thought it was a kid’s toy “action figure” posing against the backdrop of a toy house at first glance.
Your arms, positioned like a big hill ski jumper for lift, maximum distance in flight, held to catch and slow the wind rushing up the hill.

Simon – trippy! Like Drew, I thought it was an action figure and a toy house too.
