I was about to put this as a reply in another thread, but then I watched it again and thought it might help out some of the people who are still trying to grasp and remember all these new yet somehow familiar spiritual concepts. I’m not much into comedians, but Bill Hicks was certainly “in the know”. It’s under 2 minutes, please watch and share any thoughts. |

Nice. That was an E ticket ride, for me. |

Our Mr. Hicks left us way too soon! He was here way before his time! I sure wish more people could have gotten to know him! I would love to hear what he had to say about politics these days! There is a documentary out from 2010 called “American: The Bill Hicks Story”. If you have not seen it, I encourage you to! If you are not one for swear words, this film may not be for you. If you can look past that, please do get to know Mr. Hicks! He is one of those people that knew what they were on this earth to do at a very early age. He knew he wanted to be a comedian at age 6 or something like that. Ah, I digress!!! |

Each time I dare to venture into one of the community threads I feel I come away smarter…cancel that….luckier than before my arrival. Thank you thought Cap for sharing this link. I had never heard of this fellow and really enjoyed it! Coleen, you did not digress! |

Great pick, thank you, TC! I love how humor can serve as the universal language. |

Okay, I’m a little freaked out – I was on Lollapalooza ’93, and at that show backstage. I didn’t know who Bill was, but had met Maynard (from Tool). Thank you for sharing this with me. That was an amazing show in L.A. I met Timothy Leary that day as well. Wow. |

Thanks TC I watched it through twice and kept thinking the best and most beautiful things are simple. Why do we make such hard work of it as a society?I have trouble getting my head around the focus of so many ‘money, possessions and me, me, me’. Can they see nothing of the beauty that surrounds them? How can they not understand that all things are equal? |

Cool, glad you all liked it! Including those that may have watched it but haven’t spoken up. Coleen – thanks for reminding me! I watched the trailer a little while ago but forgot to order the documentary… looks really good. Steve – Right there with ya. I’m amazed to have even found you all in this forum. Bill Hicks “got it” too, but I wonder how many people in his audience actually understood what he was saying, like we understand it. I get the feeling his words went right over a lot of people’s heads. |
